Now, let me share an unusual moment in my journey—deciding to learn Arabic. I've always embraced the unconventional, living with ADHD and other challenges that make my life anything but normal. While many Americans opt for Spanish due to its popularity, I took a different route after watching an American TV show on Amazon called Jack Ryan. Yes, a TV show sparked my curiosity!
Watching it, I thought, "Learning Arabic would be challenging." And you know what? Just because it seemed tough, I decided to take on the challenge. It got me curious, and I started exploring how to learn Arabic. I dipped my toes into different dialects, from a little bit of this to a little bit of that. Initially, I chose Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), thinking it was the way to go, only to realize it didn't help me with everyday conversation.
Then came the moment when my love for Ancient Egyptian history played a decisive role. The Egyptian dialect won me over, weaving a connection between the past and the present. As I delve deeper into the people, country, and language, I find myself drawn to the intricate details and historical ties that bind it all together.
